In this workshop, we will discuss questions of fairness pertaining to machine learning applications in the health domain. Our goal is to explore the philosophical and moral plausibility of data – driven evaluations of fairness in this domain, to highlight the moral trade-offs between contrasting moral objectives, moral perspectives, and formal definitions of bias and fairness in the machine learning debate.
