This research workshop is jointly organized by the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart, Politecnico di Milano and Middlesex University London. This workshop follows the successful organization of the First Summer School on Computer Simulation Methods, held in Stuttgart in September 25-29, 2017, http://regi.hlrs.de/2017/summer-school/overview.jsp and is conceived as the first of a series of biennial workshops addressing methodological, conceptual and technical problems in computer simulation.
