Conference: 1st International Meeting on Robo-Ethics and Philosophy between Italy and Japan, Polimi, March 8-10

Venue: Politecnico di Milano (building 20, Via Ponzio 34/5, 20133 Milano, ground floor).

This conference is jointly organised by researchers on the ethics of robotics, artificial intelligence and information technologies based  in Italy and Japan. The conference includes presentations by Fabio Fossa (Polimi) on human and artificial morality, Tsutomu Kongo (Kyoto Institute of Technology) on moral attribution to robots, Mikihiro Shibata (Kanazawa University) on robots and phenomenal consciousness, Giacomo Zanotti (Politecnico di Milano) on artificial consciousness, Takashi Hashimoto (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology ) on hierarchical concept formation and moral agency, Toru Ohira (Nagoya University) on predictive processing and mentality, and Giuseppe Primiero (Università degli Studi di Milano) on logics and fair AI.
