Conference: Scientific and Epistemic Tools: Models, Thought Experiments and Analogical Reasoning, Salzburg

This conference aims to explore the conceptual status of various epistemic tools employed in scientific reasoning and models construction, ranging from thought experiments to analogy and abduction. Invited speakers include Laura Felline (University RomaTre), Rawad El Skaf (University of Salzburg), John D. Norton (University of Pittsburgh), Viola Schiaffonati (Politecnico di Milano), Daniele Chiffi (Politecnico di Milano), Jan Sprenger (University of Turin), Cyrille Imbert (Université de Lorraine), Mike Stuart (University of Geneva) and Tarja Knuuttila and Andrea Loettgers (University of Vienna).
